Paimpol is known for its historic and picturesque port, open all year round, right in the heart of the town. You will enjoy a walk along the quays on one side and great restaurants on the other! Open all year round: shops, restaurants, bars just a stone's throw from the quays in Brittany.

We said it's an active port: the main activity is fishing and oyster farming, but it's also a marina, and there are lots of beautiful boats moored on its quays, which makes the waterfront pleasant. For those interested, the harbour has 50 moorings reserved for visitors, you can set off from Port le Goff near the camping Le Mat and reach Paimpol by sea!

Paimpol, and more precisely the Pointe de l'Arcouest, are the gateway to the island of Bréhat. Finally, the port of Paimpol is recognised as a "Port of Heritage Interest".

Must-see tours in Paimpol

From May to September, you can enjoy a round-trip train ride on "La Vapeur du Trieux", a tourist train pulled by a steam locomotive to Pontrieux! When you arrive in Paimpol, don't forget to visit the famous Beauport Abbey and its treasures. The Conservatoire du Littoral bought Beauport Abbey and its natural domains in 1992 to protect and enhance them. During 20 years of work, with the department of Côtes d'Armor, the beauty of the sites has been maintained and preserved, allowing everyone to enjoy the area and its natural environment.

Finally, Paimpol hosts the Sea Song Festival of Paimpol (Gouel kan ar vartoloded in Breton) is a musical event dedicated mainly to the songs of sailors and old ships from around the world. Visitors can enjoy music, songs, old ships and good food.
